M24SWS Posted August 4, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2020 Greetings all. My son in law has an M1 helmet that has 3 chinstrap loops. It is a front seam, the exterior is the normal textured green. It is stamped inside with a heat / lot number 846G (which if the list is to be believed matches March 1944). The 3rd loop is at the center rear of the helmet. Any thoughts anyone has I am very interested to hear. Thank you, ~scott

Burning Hazard Posted August 10, 2020 Share #5 Posted August 10, 2020 Interesting. This shell is a WWII US production that was modified post-war for Israeli use; anyone noticed the front seam and 846G heat stamp? Pat
