Picked  this up at garage sale yesterday. It's made by Aeroquip, which makes  aicraft parts. They label it FORWARD UH-1 STRAP.

I have found Army documents about the medical litters than can be attached to a Huey and it references "forward litter straps"

Anyone chock full of trivia about UH-1's?

Those litter straps usually have like a hook on them you can sort of see on that diagram to help support the litter pole.   I never saw a Huey one for sale yet but I came across these once on ebay apparently for the H-34.  These have that same hook Ive seen on Huey ones.

The ones you have still could have something to do with those applications just not actually holding the pole.   There must be a few others on here that could shed more light.

Found this as well showing those brackets that i called a hook.  Both the type that are part of a strap and the type that are aircraft side.

Also another huey diagram that you can see those brackets on the straps.
