27Division18 Posted July 26, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 26, 2020 Can anyone help me identify this rifle scope? Is it WW2? It measures 11 1/2 inches. It is stamped Weaver El Paso TX USA Patd. One of the wheels is marked "Up" with a curved arrow and there is a N2 on the side of one of the mounts. It does have a cross hair. Could this have been used both commercially and with a certain military rifle by the army?
doyler Posted July 26, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 26, 2020 Common Commercial scope for a rim fire (22) rifle with a side mount and rings..... not military. There is typically Weaver Model numbers on the older scopes and can date them by model. Weaver made a lot of these in various models. I may have a dozen or so I found in a lot of scope from a Old Gunsmith that went out of business.
Charlie Flick Posted July 26, 2020 Share #3 Posted July 26, 2020 Not USGI. I am not an expert on civilian vintage scopes but it looks a lot like the old Weaver G4 scopes. 4x power. 3/4 inch tube. Regards, Charlie
