The inside of the liner has his full service number. This one is in the process of retrieving his service record. I cant remember the unit but remember reading that they were late getting to the fight in the ETO and their only combat drop was canceled due to the America advance through that designated area. The ultimate score in helmet nets...the sniper veil...I wish I had kept this one, but I know it lives with a very good friend now 👍🏼😉 ...and some assorted other favourites over the years...
