crbruce Posted July 16, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 16, 2020 Does anyone recognize this General Officer? He is a Brigadier General with the 82nd Airborne Division. It has no caption on the back of the photo. As he is wearing airborne wings, but not an airborne tab over his 82nd patch, I am guessing this is a photo from late 1940's. I appreciate any help trying to identify him. Thanks, Carl
patches Posted August 19, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 19, 2020 It would have to be in 1947-48 when for some odd reason the AIRBORNE Tab was not worn in the 82, either the Asst Div Cmdr or the DIVARTY Cmdr we should think, drawing blanks so far as to who he is.
