jmd62 Posted July 15, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 15, 2020 Hey Guys, I'm thinking the paint on this Rear Seam McCord is fine, but just wanted your opinions please to see if you think the paint is original. It seems a little grayish, but I've read here where that is sometimes the case. The corking is not as rough as I've seen, but I realize there are variances. Thanks! Nickman983 Posted July 16, 2020 Share #6 Posted July 16, 2020 Looks fine to me. Helmets came in slightly different shades and with varying amounts and coarseness of cork. Combine that with different aging conditions and you wind up with a large range of colors and textures on WWII helmets.
