Hi members! I've just received this set of uniform. The guy who sold it to me said he bought it from an estate auction in Iowa, and he also said this uniform was made in the 1950s. But unfortunately, both name tags on the coat and trousers has been removed. So I would like to have your opinion about it.

I will show some details below that I found them different from my other US military uniforms.

1.The overlook of the coat

2.It was made by A.M.Bolognese&Sons

3.EGAs and the general's stars are all marked "Sterling". Also, I can't find other holes on the shoulder board.

4.There is a square trace on the left breasta area, I assumed it should be a 15-20 ribbon bar. There are some threads just above the left breast pocket,

I think some ribbons were sewed on the coat.

5. The collar and the lining of the trousers are heavily weared, with many sweat stains. The set includes a major general's coat, a shirt and pair of general's trousers.

I found a interesting tag in the left inner pocket of the coat(the numbers are 749831). What does it mean? I've never seen such tag before. And there is a similar tag of the shirt.

That all I found for now. Please be free to express your opinion, they are needed and I'd really like to see them!

If you need pictures of other details, I would post them below!

Very much appreciate!

Without a name tag on the tunic it could have been made anytime in the last seven decades. The collar emblems are post 1962...

The tag in the pocket is a union label, it simply means it was made in a union shop. They did chance over time but each one was used for quite a while. Check this website it may narrow the age down a little.

Thank you very much!!! I compared those pictures on the website with the one on my coat, I'm sure my tag is a 1949-1962 pattern( there is no circled R on it).
