USN toaster Toastswell

Was told this came off a battleship....one website shows this model as being used by the USN...

In working condition...needs a cleaning...any Navy guys confirm it's use on ships 1930-1950s...

Built heavy duty...weighs at least 4 pounds...

Better not clean or polish it.It would not be a salty surviving example of 100's used through out the fleet. Treat it like you would one of those M-1 things that millions were made.Just watch out for fakery! You know sawdust instead of genuine period bread crumbs.Use one of those fancy microscope thingies to look for the burnt gluten.😜

I should have shown the back side where there is evidence of a fragment hole from a torpedo blast...the toast was lucky to survive that hit...

No idea if it is actually from a battleship, but it sure looks like it belongs on one!

This is a Youtube link, at the 10:40 mark, the toaster is identified, and a period picture is referenced show casing the toaster...as a issue item on a PT boat...sweet!
