Bob Hudson Posted July 12, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 12, 2020 I found a notebook full of original manuals and other documents for various models of USMC WWII tracked carriers, amphibious tanks and an experimental hydrofoil designed to replace AMTRACs. The WWII manuals include 1945 operator's manual for the LANDING VEHICLE TRACKED (UNARMORED) MARK III, LVT (3) (AMPHIBIAN CARGO CARRIER) and a 1944 familiarization manual MEET THE LVT - (3) THE BUSHMASTER. There are some nice color images of various models of LVT carriers and amphibious tanks: they each have a little flap with a description of the vehicle - that flap covers up part of the larger image, but the flap could be removed if you wanted to frame the photos. A notebook contains LVT training charts wth some interesting text and graphics. There is a brochure for the experimental LVHX2 LANDING FORCE AMPHIBIOUS SUPPORT VEHICLE hydrofoil. There is a document with the name of the Marine whose estate these came from.
