I Hate Moths Posted July 11, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 11, 2020 I was told that this is WWII, but I honestly don't know.
DocCollector1441 Posted July 11, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 11, 2020 I would say post war. WAVES officers sleeve braid was blue during WWII, IIRC
David Minton Posted July 24, 2020 Share #3 Posted July 24, 2020 As has been mentioned, WAVES cuff Paris during WWII was reserve blue. It was claimed there was a shortage of gold braid, but the WAVES didn’t believe it.If I recall Women were authorized gold after they were allowed to join the regular Navy, in 1949 if I recall.I’m not knowledgeable in post WAR uniforms, but I believe that tag is 1950s to early 1960s. This era is far less collectable than WWII. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Spike Posted July 25, 2020 Share #4 Posted July 25, 2020 A couple of cocktails would be a good start.
