Hello

Came across this liner.  It has a repaint, but under the paint on one side is the 34th inf Red bull.  The other side has the 133rd infantry emblem, with another underneath.  Can anyone identify the emblem beneath the 133rd infantry sticker.   It came with a front seam repainted swivelbale helmet.  Are the first two sets ww2 era?  the 34th was disbanded in 1945, and reorganized in the Natl guard...

Thank you

This is a decal for the old 554th Field Artillery Iowa National Guard, a newly activated unit in the Iowa NG in June 1946, assigned to the 34th Infantry Division. It had a DI, but officially it was just it's Coat of Arms, this one, this decal has added a scroll as we see with the battalion's motto, which was  LIBERTE 'ET DROIT. Unit inactivated in 1959 under the CARS reorganization.  The decal also differs slightly as the Cannon Balls are Silver whereas the Cannon Balls on the Crest are Black

The  DI for the 554th FA Bn based on it's Coat of Arms is in 1952 by the way, liner obviously changed hands a one point and a man from the 133rd Infantry gets it,, perhaps after 1959, but it would not see wear after 1963, that's when the 34th Inf Div is inactivated. it's elemts used to form the new separate brigades, the 67th and 69th Infantry Brigades
