cerick1450 Posted July 8, 2020 Share #1 Posted July 8, 2020 Hello Just going through my old garage stuff, and came across this belt. I cannot make out a maker mark, or a US marking. Could this be a unmarked USMC belt? Any way to tell? Thank you
Fixbayonets! Posted July 8, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 8, 2020 Possibly Russian lend-lease. Rob
cerick1450 Posted July 8, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted July 8, 2020 Were unmarked belts used by regular army in WW2?
Fixbayonets! Posted July 8, 2020 Share #4 Posted July 8, 2020 I do not believe so, maybe a few here and there slipped through the cracks unmarked.
Catfishcraig Posted July 8, 2020 Share #5 Posted July 8, 2020 It could be a USMC marked belt with the markings worn off. I think this was common since the USMC marking was on the inside and constantly rubbing against the jacket. i used night vision settings on a camera to identify one that I had. See the link below.
