Good luck with it and keep your source very close so it’s not poached from under you I am aghast, who would think to poach a helmet from under another collector? 🤤 However, "many" have done so in the past and have even done so to me so, this is very sage advice. wer27 Posted October 9, 2022 Author Share #58 Posted October 9, 2022 I ask you, few but on some books, I have seen helmets of this regiment, and the camouflage colors are made less dense spray, can it be a distinctive element of the original or not? P-59A Posted October 9, 2022 Share #59 Posted October 9, 2022 This is my two cents for what its worth. That lime green paint should show the same ware and patina as the rest of the helmet. Why? If that lime green paint was applyed within a year of the origional paint job why wouldn't it? Did anyone lead test the lime green and white paint to see if at least passes that hurdle? Lead testing the lime green and white dosent confirm anything in and of itself, but if that paint is lead free then you have a problem. First things first. What can be proven and what can be disproven.
