I Hate Moths Posted July 3, 2020 Share #2 Posted July 3, 2020 Nice group. I especially like the one with the names. Do you know what communities these came from ?
Love of flags Posted July 3, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted July 3, 2020 Nice group. I especially like the one with the names. Do you know what communities these came from ? First one is believed to be from the central Ohio area. The other is unknown at this time. I need to get an ancestry account to help in my searching. Old Crow 1986 Posted July 21, 2020 Share #6 Posted July 21, 2020 Agree completely. This is the first I've seen of multiple (non-family) blue star banners. Just gobsmacked at the amount of history that is captured in a few pieces of fabric. Looking forward to more.

Mr.Jerry Posted July 22, 2020 Share #11 Posted July 22, 2020 From what my guy could find- most of the guys on the discharge flag were from the Grand Rapids, Michigan area. There were guys from several different eras, and the flag may have come from a VFW post there that actually recently burned down. I'll send you the info that he found.
