Can I get some feedback on this flight jacket?  I've been out of the loop for a long time, but ran into this today, no labels/tags anywhere I can find, there is the USN stencil on the underside of the collar, Talon zipper, some fraying around the waist trim, what model/year is this?  And what would be an approximate value (I can get this for about 170$)?   Thanks, Chris...

looks like post WW2 USN 55-J- 14 or its successor the G1

knits looked replaced. The older jackets had a bidirectional weave waist band and the liner is repaired. Here is a topic on the WW2 era jackets

The yellow USN under the collar will help date it....IIRC the yellow is post war..and white/silver(?)...is WWII .....the Navy guys will be along soon ...either way great jacket

I would agree with Doyler's assessment. All of the appointments on this jacket suggest late WW2 to Korea era. As far as value...for this particular jacket, condition and size would dictate it's price.

If it’s a large size it might be worth it.
