Tom A Posted June 20, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2020 I was wondering if someone can help me out. I have a medium Alice pack camo looks like typical USGI but the frame has 2 points of attachment for the kidney pad, one just above the other. It is riveted but the joints are reinforced with welding and its painted black. Its obviously been reworked but looks like a professional job not a hack job. Is this something they came out with for small bodied people? It looks like with the kidney pad attached to the upper spot it would be about right for a child or small adult. Has anyone seen anything like this? Know what it is? thanks
Tom A Posted June 23, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted June 23, 2020 More info, I bought this at a pawn shop in southern Utah. The guy had 3 other ones just like it. More pictures added.
Linedoggie Posted June 23, 2020 Share #3 Posted June 23, 2020 Never seen the cross members welded before, it still has the rivet
thorin6 Posted June 23, 2020 Share #4 Posted June 23, 2020 The mark looks Korean, perhaps someone else could confirm.
QED4 Posted June 24, 2020 Share #5 Posted June 24, 2020 The mark is Korean, it can also be found on bayonets the Koreans modified and made. The second kidney pad is to accommodate the smaller stature of the Korean soldiers.
