Dear Gents

 

i would like your thoughts with these NCO EGA cap badges,are ok period and what should be the diffrence these WWI and post WWI and WW2 what changed later?

Please I need dating  in those 4 EGAS before to purchase one from them,about these 2 here:
the top one:Reverse with H-H and “Sterling” mark, measures 1-1/4″ X 1-3/8″.

the bottom one:The reverse bears the “H-H” mark of Hilborn Hamburger and is also marked “Ser. 209”

1. EM 1930 cover emblem

2. EM 1908 cover emlem, pre WW1 saw use into the war

5. Officers style dress cover emblem. Sweetheart piece. WW2 era

6. Officers service emblem post WW2 indicated by serial number

About the one you said EM 1908 I was said Pattern 1892 in other place... What should be the difference to tell between 1892 and 1908?

About the rests matches perfectly with your inputs

I would suggest studying one, or both, of these EGA reference books. I believe they are still the best updated and most advanced. I have collected for almost 50 years and there have been many changes, and, sometimes a little tough to keep up.

Wanted to date this EGA is a collar device only or could be used for  a garrison cap?
