Help identifying WWII .30 cal ammo box markings.

Recommended Posts

Picked this up at an antique shop a while back, the markings really stood out to me. Was wondering if anyone could identify. Possibly medical?

Maybe something somebody picked up post war when you could find all sorts of surplus for super cheap, and just used as a first aid kit?

M1 WW2 ammo can, remarked to designate first aid supplied inside. Most likely done by bubba post war as the unit markings are in Yellow, yellow designates ordnance or ammo lot dates/type. I would think the unit markings would be in white or black lettering so as not to confuse the contents.
