L11-VELASCO Posted June 13, 2020 Share #1  Posted June 13, 2020 Dear Gents I would like to know how we could differenciate an US NAVY officer visor cap(those called "Bell Crown" type) from WWI period and 1900/1914...were exactly same or we could see differences? 🤔 I know than those US NAVY caps changed in 1920 to a wider top but my question is how were before WWI(from 1900 to 1914)were exactly the same style and same regulations, eagle devices, hats sizes, buttons, chinstraps than 1914-1920, s ones? Thanks for light me and please post your US NAVY caps from those years if you have it. Regards Fernando

Dirk Posted June 14, 2020 Share #3  Posted June 14, 2020 This should give you a Pre-WWI baseline it’s pulled from the 1913 regulations. Unfortunately I don’t have anything for the post war period. Can anyone else weigh in?
