Odd GP Strap

Never seen hooks like this on a GP strap.

Is this even USGI?

Even the WWII GP Straps I have seen have the standard looking hooks so I don't know what to make of this thing.

Anyone ever seen the likes of it before?

To me for all intents and purposes it looks like any other pre-60's GP Strap but for those funky hooks. They don't look as strong as the usual hook set up.

10 buck shipped it a bit steep for 1 GP strap but the hooks made me save it to my favs.

IF it's USGI as stated then it might be cool to have a few just because of the uniqueness of the hooks but I can get TWO regular canvas GP's for $7 each which is a more tolerable price for an old man that used to buy these things to a dollar! 👴

Hi,

Saw this post and wanted to reply. It is a Dutch manufactured copy of the standard US GP strap. The same hooks were also used on the strap that was used for their copy of the Canadian gas mask bag.

Thanks! I figured it must have been foreign.

I passed and found some 1" cotton webbing straps that are like the dispatch case slings but longer and without the shoulder pads.

Thanks again for IDing it. I figured someone here would recognize it!
