tsaguy007 Posted June 10, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 10, 2020 Thanks to the Virus, I was able to finish painting several sculpts The latest is a companion piece to this mounted figure I did ten years ago. Set in the 1916 expedition into Mexico, the mounted figure is made from an old HP printer case. It is 1/24th scale and based on a Fredrick Remington drawing of the Cav. trooper during the Plains War. This is the other figure from that time period. It represents an Inf soldier on guard duty along the Arizona/Mexico boarder. It is made from old plastics. stratasfan Posted June 12, 2020 Share #8 Posted June 12, 2020 These are amazing! But you have to tell me . . . how did you use a printer case? Are you melting the plastic and molding it? Or solid plastic and carving it?
ArtyScout Posted June 12, 2020 Share #9 Posted June 12, 2020 Very nice work. I love that you are doing different subjects that are not usually covered. I've always had a deep respect for those soldiers & Marines that wore 'campaign covers'. Semper Fi. Manny
