Possible Disney design for USN destroyers

I came across this drawing while surfing the Internet and I apologize if this has already been presented on another thread.  I was curious if this was ever made into a patch?  I'm guessing USN due to the sailor's cap and the TNT drum has got to be a depth charge so destroyer.  The reason I'm asking is because UDT used to use seahorses in the design of some of their early insignia as well as a stick of TNT.

This design was created for Sub Chaser #83359, St. George Depot, Staten Island, New York, in early 1943. I am not sure if the insignia was ever turned into a patch. A friend owns the original pencil sketch of the design, which was created by Disney artist Hank Porter.
