Chris Posted May 30, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 30, 2020 I just acquired this with a small lot of WWII US and German insignia. It looks familiar and I thought it may be an Infantry regiment, but no luck in my books. It may not be military at all. It is a smaller very nicely embroidered patch. And definitely 1930s-40s vintage. It has a name that I cannot quite make out and "AWARD CO" printed across the back. Any help would be much appreciated. Chris Posted May 30, 2020 Author Share #3 Posted May 30, 2020 That's all I can make out too. OHI...? I wondered if it could be Ohio, but not seeing another "O". I know I have seen this before, Dave. But cannot remember where.

The letters on the front top of the patch make the word Ohio don't they , possibly aviation related due to colors of blue /yellow(gold)(usually Air Corps-AAF colors) and having the Bird on it
Randy Posted May 31, 2020 Share #5 Posted May 31, 2020 I see it as a knight's helmet visor. Looks like a helmet sitting on a suit of armor. Just my look... Randy
