I only have 3 WW2 M1 helmets but this is a good one. I know nothing about the original owner or the helmet and liner. I can see it is a front seam, fixed bail pot. Any comments from those knowledgeable would be appreciated. I’ll post more pictures. Name written inside the steel pot.

looks to be a nice ww2 pot/liner. the insignia, is  decal or painted?  see if a member can look up the name. I LIKE WHAT I SEE SO FAR------------------

The Major insignia on Pot and liner are both hand painted. Can anyone help me find any details on this Officer?
