I can’t exactly pin down the construction, it’s almost like a heavier weave that is been BeVo’d onto a silk backing? Not like any of the other Chinese made silk examples I have in my collection. However, I don’t know the history of whatever USMC Engr unit this Marine was in.....could be Chinese made. I know there were USMC infantry forces in China 1946-47.
