My understanding is that all of these caps were private purchase. They were widely worn however.

PII100 I believe is surplus store contract , it can be found on the "battle tested" stuff like the Urban BDU

Agree..I have one I purchased in a Surplus store and mine is made like the USMC style covers.

Cap Camouflage Pattern I

The only government contract 6 color hat is the boonie, all other styles are exclusively commercial.

I've dug out my Micheal Berry cap 5th SFG Vietnam , Special forces War on Terror Vet ( this cap worn in WOT ) somewhere in Africa. 

 

This came with 2 sets of choc chips dated 1981 and a 1981 boonie.

Thoughts? From a vet. Along with this cap was a 1982 dated  chocolate chip boonie
