AKC123 Posted May 18, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 18, 2020 Posting for a friend. He recently bought this m1 carbine with these two holes in the rear of the receiver behind the rear sight. I can’t seem to find any rear sight or scope mount system it would correspond with. Most of those seem to be mounted from the side rather than directly atop the receiver. Anyone have any ideas? opus5150 Posted May 18, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 18, 2020 My guess is that sometime in its life someone tried to fit a different rear sight/flashlight/flamethrower attachment on this carbine. Just couldn’t find anything commercial that lined up so thought I’d ask. Judging from the pic alone though they don’t look to be too rough. Almost like they were cut before the finish was applied.
