nice named flat hat very possibly from the 30's. of course the tally lost its yellow lettered coloring but, how can you pass up any item from the most famous ship in history?

Nice one,  it is pre-WWI to early WWI (wire thread on it).

 

Was the the baystate one? If so he enlisted in 1916 (born in 1897, died in 1974)
