Just picked up this interesting bringback by James Shewchuk who was possibly a member of the 3rd Armored Division. I don't know much about these little 5" revolvers.

I have had quite a few of this little gems brought back by US vets.

I got one from a war zone Army nurse who had papers from her commanding officer giving her permission to carry it for personal protection.

Many Germans carried them as well.

As the title states this is a bicycle (vélo in French) dog gun.

It was developed in the early days of bicycle travel to ward off attacking dogs but also made an excellent concealed weapon used by soldiers.

Do you still have any? This one is missing the spring that turns or hold the cylinder in place. I would love to see what one looks like? Thanks
