JOSEPH FERRARI Posted May 5, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 5, 2020 HI, I HAVE THIS WW2 U.S. RUBBER GAS MASK POUCH. AM PRETTY SURE IT IS WW2. THIS ONE HAS A VALVE MOUNTED ON THE OUTSIDE. CAN'T SEEM TO FIND ANY REFERENCE FOR THAT. I UNDERSTAND THESE RUBBER POUCHES WERE ALSO USED AS A FLOTATION DEVISE . COULD THIS VALVE BE USED TO INFLATE THE POUCH ? AS I HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO FIND ONE ON LINE THAT HAS THIS VALVE IS THIS A RARE ONE,? WAS IT A PROTOTYPE ? THANK YOU FOR ANY INFORMATION YOU COULD SEND ME. iron bender Posted May 6, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 6, 2020 Without pics it will be hard to say. My best guess is you have a USMC flotation device that's opened up on one end...
