Posting a medal grouping I acquired several years ago.  Harry Moore Jr. was born on October 3, 1920 in Sierra Blanca, Texas.  1st LT Harry Moore Jr. served with in the U.S. Army Air Corps with the 388th Bomb Group/560th Bomb Squadron during WWII.  According to his obituary he saw action as an Aerial Gunner.  He flew 25 bomb missions over Germany and was awarded the Distinguish Flying Cross (DFC) and the Air Medal (AM) with three oak leaf clusters.

From his obituary - "While returning from a raid on Stuttgart, Germany and being pursued by German fighter planes, his B-17 was shot down. crashing into the English Channel.  The crew - Moore and his nine companions spent 20 hours pitching in light dinghies before being saved by a British air-Sea rescue boat".

This grouping has a numbered DFC and AM

Nice group- a lot to like such as the theater made insignia and ribbons as well as the numbered medals.  The Air Medal’s early untitled case is in nice shape- thanks for sharing!
