Capt Fig Posted May 3, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 3, 2020 I've only seen the attached 1950s poster once, recently displayed at the AF Museum near Dayton. I'd love to get my hands on an authentic original copy but might be interested in a reproduction as well. Any information on this would be great (not even the museum knew who the artist was). The poster has "going up - go air force" at the top and "BE AN AVIATION CADET U.S. AIR FORCE" at the bottom with T-33 and pilots in the main field. Some others have (I believe mistakenly) identified the planes as F-80s. To me, I clearly see a two-seater as well as the fact that the T-33 would have been appropriate for aviation cadets while the F-80 would not. Capt Fig Posted August 27, 2022 Author Share #2 Posted August 27, 2022 Small update. Poster is from 1952. Based a window card size version of this but I am still seeking the full size poster. Thanks!
