Genuine? 10th Special Forces Trojan Horse .800 Silver

Recommended Posts

I found this yesterday and got it cheap enough just in case it wasn't real. The pin is marked on the back upper left side 800. Not sure if it was ever used. No history was available. It measures 1 7/8 inches (48mm) tall and 1 5/16 inches (33mm) wide. Not thick weighing in at 5.87 grams. Any ideas and help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hmm, 800 is the silver/sterling percentage used in other countries (i.e. Germany where the unit was stationed)

Looks like a sand casting, a little rough but Ill let the experts give their thumbs up or down.

I agree, looks like a casting with European pin to me. Doesn't mean it's not a foreign-made piece, but definitely not US produced (unless its a US-produced fake of a German made piece, which would be a bit unusual). I'll let one of the SF gurus pass judgement on authenticity

This is a copy.....look for details where the lightning bolts pass through the trojan horse, that extra flashing of metal is not seen on originals.

Originals are stunning! When you see one, you know it was made by a jeweler.

I was leaning towards repro. 98 percent of the stuff he had was repro. The non-repro stuff he had was common stuff. I'm in the pin for 7 dollars. I will list it as a copy. Thanks.
