Recommended Posts

26th RCT took part in the Operation Torch assault landings later sent forward to fight under British command

PFC was WIA early December due to German counterattacks near Tebessa Tunisia. He later was taken to 12th AF field hospital

where he Died of GSWs to the chest.

Not sure why his family received a late 47-48 official script engraved heart ?

I added patch and DIs for display.

Yes two sisters in Philadelphia and one in the state hospital Danville PA .

 

I wonder why it took till 1947-48 to send out PH ? Maybe for another NOK ? He as MIA a bit ? just fog of war ? Back log ? guess we will never know?

any how its a great engraving !
