Justin B. Posted April 14, 2020 Share #2 Posted April 14, 2020 Hello everybody, recently I discovered the army specialist corp around the web and I am really curious to know which kind of uniforms, badges and decorations they used during the ww2 / pre war period. Expecially what is the branch color? That was a short-lived organization that was born and died within 1942. In the end, the Army ended up taking over all kinds of technical and support functions that they didn't foresee early in the war, and recruited the personnel needed. Like the Air Transport Command air carrier personnel, the Army didn't want the civilian specialists confused with military personnel, so their buttons and trim were dull gray plastic. The garrison cap branch colors were "burgundy and silver gray." You can read some of the Specialist Corps uniform regulations here: https://books.google.com/books?id=HY_KqHwDcvoC&lpg=PA6668&ots=Sy6fQiiCkQ&dq=army%20specialist%20corps%20burgundy&pg=PA6668#v=onepage&q&f=false PS I found this hat around the web ...it's really incredible Looks familiar!
