kfields Posted April 9, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 9, 2020 I found this small-ish (about 11 x 14 1/4) paper poster in an antique store in Urbana, Ohio last year. It looked "real", originally had been folded in quarters, it was framed and it didn't cost too much so I bought it.I did a little bit of research on the artist and discovered that Elmer Wexler had been a combat artist for the Marine Corps. In 1943, he was reassigned and joined the so called 'Hollywood Bond Battalion', touring movie theaters in the U.S. during the war.I'm not a poster guy so I guess I was wondering if there is a chance this is a real WW2 period poster and if real, where would something like this have been placed. Thanks.Kim
