Harold N. Flagg and Dog Displaying Flag
(Original Caption) Wounded Dog Displays a Battle Souvenir. Okinawa Island: "Boy" a Doberman Pinscher Marine Corps war dog and his handler Corporal Harold N. Flagg, of 13 Cottage Street, Fairfield, Maine, display a Japanese banner taken from the enemy on Okinawa Island. "Boy" spotted an ambush while on patrol and suffered a leg wound in the ensuing action..
