There must be something going on with armored guys as this one seems not to have spchin straps on his helmet. The same thing seems to be going on in post #633.....the tech Sargent doesn’t have chin straps either.

Army buckle….Navy Mk1 knife?  Demo bag and M1916 holster.  Did not expect to see a Navy knife on him.  Is there more to this story?

Tank Crewmen of the 113rd Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron in The Netherlands September 1944. Of note is the habit of many a Armored Combat Vehicle Crewman who would be wearing the Tank Helmet to tape over the ventilation holes of the helmet for we guess warmth, or to cut the breeze.

Not uncommon to see the buckles in the Navy. This is the info I can find

photo of Seabee Raymond L. Sexton was taken on Iwo Jima in 1945.

A Specially marked Helmet, marked with Medical Tape we should think, worn by one  Frank Prist, Prist is a War Correspondent for ACME Newspictures, photo taken on Leyte. This is the last couple of photos of him, he was KIA shortly after, November 12 1944, hit by a Sniper while covering the 24th Infantry Division's actions. Uncertain where he got the Jump Wings we see him wearing, he no doubt made at least one Jump, maybe earlier with the 503rd In New Guinea.

Not to be weird, but does it look like a dog foot print on his shirt? As pawing at him? And what was the dog walking in?
