Alan W. Jones Commander of the 106th Inf Div, he seems to be wearing some kind of broad colored band under his net right, maybe for maneuvers???

Hes wearing the lined skull cap often seen worn by Tank crews. may have a jeep cap or wool stocking hat over that also
