NDTMilitaria Posted April 6, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 6, 2020 This was a somewhat recent find in an antique mall in Normal Illinois while visiting some family there in January. Everything pictured was found all together in a small box and for a great price. Did some digging but didn't find a ton. Richard Hoswer served from April 24th 1942 to November 14th 1945 in France, Germany, and possibly England. He lived and passed away in Normal, which is of course where I found this grouping. hoping to find more info on Richard P. Howser and his service, and any help is appreciated! Reforger Posted April 6, 2020 Share #7 Posted April 6, 2020 Nice group. Everything looks period except for the American Campaign Medal. That one looks like a later replacement. The German tinnie is for the 1st of May, 1936 Labor Day celebration. These were produced in large numbers. If you brush it with a plastic brush (don't use a wire brush!) under some running water, you may be able to get some of the zinc corrosion off.
