Old Crow 1986 Posted April 3, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 3, 2020 The National World War II Museum has launched a daily online presentation series. This series is an effort to continue the museum's mission of preservation, research, education and outreach during the ongoing COVID 19 battle. Today's (Friday, 3 April) topic is "The Attack On Pearl Harbor - Part Two". As described by the host - " We invite students and families to learn how the "Day of Infamy" changed the lives of Americans as student reporters explore important historical sites all around Oahu. Participate in a live Q&A with The National WWII Museum and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum educators." The event is scheduled for broadcast on Facebook live at 1PM (1300) US Central Time Link - http://support.nationalww2museum.org/site/R?i=n9-PcM4F8YERvuP8ODsjng Follow the above link...click on "Video" tab on left side of screen...click on "LIVE" (red) button Yesterday's webinar was led by moderators who are somewhat younger than the more established scholars and authors that usually present these sessions. This was in keeping with the "...students and families..." target audience. However, the younger moderators did a fine job leading the discussion with Pearl Harbor witnesses, one survivor, and educators from the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Expect "Part Two" to again be geared to students and families. However, while "Part One" was basic in its scope, it was still worth the 40 minute time investment.
