Bob Hudson Posted March 29, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 29, 2020 Over the years the forum has had many, many discussions of the re-strikes of WWII NS meyer AAF wings, including the airship wings. The re-strikes always seem to be marked STERLING. This came in a box of stuff of a while back and since it's not an original I thought I'd check its melt value. Then I realized it is not stamped STERLING on the back. I guess that makes this the budget-priced fake:
The Rooster Posted March 30, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 30, 2020 HI Bob, Not the wing expert on here by any means, but I've looked at a bunch of Meyer wings and I think its a stinker, sterling or no sterling mark. Its got that laquer on the back and the shinny pin that looks like its opening a bit too far. Prob lacking the cam at the end to prevent its opening so far? Place holder ?
