T Ambrosini Posted March 27, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 27, 2020 Pictures would help. The first is probably a laundry mark, and the third might be the last name. Tom

WW2UsCollector Posted March 27, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted March 27, 2020 What do you think Pty24949 means?
The Rooster Posted March 27, 2020 Share #6 Posted March 27, 2020 Libby L9422 Yup looks like an ID mark. Looks like it was applied a long time ago with a ball point pen. The other mark looks much newer and its in black marker of some sort. So............ ???Maybe a military surplus dealers inventory mark ??? My two cents. ( My Guess) Whats the outside look like? Remember the old huge surplus stores they used to have? Even in the early 1980's they had ike jackets and ww2 wool trench coats etc etc .
WW2UsCollector Posted March 27, 2020 Author Share #7 Posted March 27, 2020 This is what the outside of the jacket looks like and how could i narrow it down to a specific guy with the laundry number and libby?
Kadet Posted March 27, 2020 Share #8 Posted March 27, 2020 The markings were both done by WWII-era laundry pens not ball point or magic marker...
