I recently bought a m3 knife.
I'm a beginner so I would like to obtain informations about it.

Is it a real one ?
ACC means (I think) Aerial ?
How scarce is it today ?
What is the production period for guard marked knifes ?

I thank you very much.

PS: I think I will post a new topic for the USM8 scabbard because I have questions too.

Peter279- As I recall. Like the other M3 makers, Aerial started switching to guard marked (ACC) approximately Dec 1943-Jan 1944 when blade stamping ended. The M3s were produced til about August of 1944. Aerial made around 51,000+ total blade & guard marked M3s. They are not that scarce. SKIP

Thank you for your reply.
I wasn't able to post more photos yesterday (new member limitation).
Here is a further.

Do I have to know more information about this manufacturer ?

To identify an original Aerial compared to a fake/reassembly ?

Thank you again,

There is information out there regarding both M3's in general as well as specific information on the Aerial M3's. Also the numbers and letters you pictured on the bottom of the tab on the M8 sheath is specific to the B.M. Co. M8/M8A1's.

If you're able to collect this information, that will be great. In the meantime most to all of your questions can be answered from many of the folks who hang out here, and there's always new things coming to light.

Welcome aboard.
