WW2UsCollector Posted March 26, 2020 #1 Posted March 26, 2020 Hello, Recently I discovered that my Grandfather had a half brother Who was in WW2. Ive been looking and trying to find what division he was in, but cant find nothing on him. His name is John Benjamin Boyle he lived in Elizabeth New Jersey and was Born around 1918 and died in 2001 in Saratosa Florida he married a lady named Renee from france. Any help would be very much appreciated!
stratasfan Posted March 26, 2020 #5 Posted March 26, 2020 Took a look and couldn't find him on any transport documents. He enlisted 17 Aug 1944 in Newark, NJ. Had four years of high school and was married.
familytreevets Posted March 26, 2020 #6 Posted March 26, 2020 You could try to get his DD-214 by requesting it through Archives.gov It can give you some details that could lead to his unit. He married Renee Germaine Cenilland(?) 4 Jun 1948 in Sarasota, FL
