james127 Posted March 23, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 23, 2020 We finally made it to Omaha Beach. We'll be hitting different parts of Omaha Beach over the next few episodes, but I think that this one explores a corner that is often overlooked. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92mmPOO51h4
bobgee Posted March 24, 2020 Share #2 Posted March 24, 2020 Another great video. Like being there - again. The present serenity of Omaha Beach today compared to D-day is almost surreal. Thanks. Keep up the good work. Bobgee

everforward Posted March 24, 2020 Share #4 Posted March 24, 2020 Thanks! Appreciate that. Ever since I've left, I just want to go back. Right..?? The area has that effect on you. Our first stop once in Sector Omaha was WN 60. It was a nice day and you could see the whole length of the beach. Quite a vista.
james127 Posted March 24, 2020 Author Share #5 Posted March 24, 2020 Right..?? The area has that effect on you. Our first stop once in Sector Omaha was WN 60. It was a nice day and you could see the whole length of the beach. Quite a vista. I think that WN60 gets easily overlooked, which is one reason why I wanted to feature it. Even on YouTube, you don't see much about it. I think that most hit the bunkers of WN 62 instead (which is in the next video that comes out on Thursday). But you're right. WN60 does offer quite the view of the beach.

My intention was to visit his grave as well but there had been a TON of rain there in the days before and most of the cemetery was roped off.
