Another US Navy contract number question

I found 2 different Navy garments with the NXs prefix only. I couldn't find anything on Dustin's list. I attacted two pictures. I'm looking for a time period, I suspect pre WW2.

Sometimes the contractor failed to apply the last letter. In this case, it's important to know the relation of the article. To my memory, all clothing was Supplies and Accounts, that would be designated with X. So add the letter X to your contract and you'll have it. I've noticed this lack of the last letter on early procurements c.1942 era and that is the time frame of your two garments.

I'd date your garments to about the January-March 1942 time frame
