KIA dog tag- 4th ID Vietnam

Corporal Howard H. Hominick served as a light weapons infantryman with Company C, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 4th Infantry Division and arrived in Vietnam in January 1968.

 

On April 27th, 1968, CPL Hominick was present at the battle of Chu Moor and was killed in action after suffering multiple fragmentation wounds from a land mine. He was only 19 years old, and had been in the Army less than a year.

 

He was posthumously awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star Medal.
