This is from a soldier in the National Army as Battery C, 320th Field Artillery, an element of the 82d Division. The coat and uniform are named, but I couldn't find anything on the pants. I found them all together at a thrift shop.

After doing a little bit of research, I was able to identify the soldier as Ira Elder Jacobson, from DuBois, PA.

Served from Sep 22, 1917 with the 2nd Co 305th MP at Camp Lee until Oct 17, 1917 and then with Battery C, 320 FA, 82nd Division from Oct 17, 1917 to May 15, 1919. Was promoted to Corporal on Nov 16, 1918.

Engagements: Morbach Sec – Aug 19-Sept 11, 1918; Argonne Sept 12-16, 1918, Meuse Argonne Offensive Sept 26-Nov 11, 1918.

Came home April 26, 1919 aboard the S.S. Kentuckian and was discharged May 15, 1919.

Great uniform group. Its always nice be able to have a positive ID in a WW1 enlisted man's uniform, especially 82nd Division. Thanks for posting.
