24th_infantry Posted March 15, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 15, 2020 Just picked up this complete USN submariner's uniform from the SS Cutlass. He lived a town away from me but sadly passed away in 1992. I found his grave and military documents. His name is Rudolph M Sanstrom. His uniform is private purchase and in amazing condition. The submariner's sleeve patch is bullion. I even found his business card inside his hat. This is the first submariner's uniform I've had in my collection. I'll post a photo of his grave later. I knew the grave was his because it has the submariner insignia engraved on the bottom. Please let me know if anyone can find a photo of him. Thanks and enjoy!

MWalsh Posted March 15, 2020 Share #16 Posted March 15, 2020 The sub badge on the grave is interesting. Is that something you placed there or is it attached to the monument? Wonder if the local Submarine Veterans chapter would have done that?? That's a nice uniform by the way, glad you can give it a good home.
